Lament for Art Ó Laoghaire
Overview
A troupe of rebellious Irish thespians clashes with their English director as he attempts to stage an elaborate adaptation of Eibhlín Dubh Ní Chonaill's eighteenth-century lament, which mourns the life and violent death of Irish rebel Art Ó Laoghaire. The actors stubbornly resist his authority throughout the production.
