Overview

Raised in Portugal, Miguel—known as Tibars or “Djon África”—is a gentle Rastafarian drifting through life on good vibes and romance. That changes when a stranger points out his striking resemblance to a man he’s never met: his father, described as “a player and a crook.” Curiosity sparks, but it’s his grandmother who finally cracks the silence, revealing his father’s prison time, Miguel’s lonely toddler years, and the banishment to Cape Verde. Now Miguel travels there, searching for the truth about the man who shaped his bloodline. Who will he find?
