Overview

Set against the backdrop of the Meiji Restoration in 1868, Sentaro enlists in a militia supporting the Tokugawa Shogunate to battle Imperial forces. His loyalty is tested by a cunning pickpocket friend who frequently changes allegiances for personal gain. As they navigate the dangerous terrain of enemy territory, Sentaro's involvement with this unpredictable companion threatens to jeopardize his mission and his life.
